At the beginning of the year, Fellowship committed to making 2023 the year of Sabbath. In partnership with Practicing the Way, they taught a series on this ancient practice and went through PTW’s “Sabbath Guide” in their small groups. The challenge was after the series was over, how could they continue to the narrative of Sabbath while teaching other spiritual disciplines and transitioning into new series?

Using their Instagram, we created a series of post that reminded people of the Sabbath and encouraged them to spend time with Jesus no matter where they were.

How do you Sabbath?

This idea was built around doing casual interview with staff members in the office asking them the simple question, “How do you Sabbath?”

This mini series not only made it fun for our people to follow along, but it started great conversations amongst our staff.

Engage Gen Z

This idea was built around engaging with Fellowship’s younger audience. As an intergenerational church, it’s important for Fellowship to create content for that appeals to all ages and stages. So how did we accomplish this?

With a little help form trending audio and some inspiration from the Wes Anderson trend that was going viral on TikTok, we shot a quick edit of our coworker closing up shop on Friday afternoon to get ready for his Sabbath.

Quotes From Past Sermons

Since Sunday Sermons are some of the most watched content for Fellowship, we used past sermons and their most engaging points to remind people of what they learned about Sabbath from the pulpit and encouraged them to implement it throughout their week.

What we quickly learned is that a thoughtful quote and well framed video performed better than our produced sermon clips, getting over double our normal engagement!
